Every cow, a dollar value and a decision
Turning a research-grade dairy model into a plain keep, breed or cull decision for every cow, with a one-sentence reason.
A dairy herd is a portfolio of hundreds of animals, and every one of them is a keep, breed or cull decision worth thousands of dollars. Most farms make those calls by feel. The economics that should drive them lived in a research model only a specialist could run.
We turned it into a screen a farmer reads in seconds.
FarmCore is an early-stage dairy technology company, incubated by PAVA Group, my brother's venture firm. Concentric Lab ran the planning engagement and then led the build.
Plan first, then build
It started with a two-week, fixed-fee planning engagement: the data model, a design that sits on top of the farm software farmers already use, and a buildable plan, so the team stopped debating and started deciding. From there, a working product in about three months.
What it does
- Every cow gets her lifetime value in dollars and a plain call: keep, breed or cull, with the reason in one sentence.
- The first screen is a culling list: the whole herd ranked by value, so the decision starts at the bottom.
- Beside it, a simple income statement in dollars.

The engine underneath
Behind each call, the engine reproduces a research-grade economic model across 477,240 possible cow states, roughly a million precomputed answers, and re-solves them for each breed at the farm's own milk prices. The farmer never sees any of that. They see a decision and a reason.
Why this matters for your agent
A complex model is only useful when it ends in a decision a person can act on. Every agent we build ends the same way: a clear recommendation, the reason in one sentence, and a person who decides.
